Current-limiting circuit을 이용하는 방법

Current-limiting circuit 이란 “a circuit-breaker with a break time short enough to prevent the short-circuit current reaching its otherwise attainable peak value” (IEC 60947-2, def. 2.3).


장점 :
- 빠른 차단
- 파손 감소
- Discrimination Level이 Icw에 제한되지 않음
- 다양한 discrimination level
- 회로 중간에 위치한 다른 종류의 차단기에 대하여 coordination 가능

단점 : 
- 비슷한 사이지의 차단기간에 coordination 어려움
